Pfizer vaccines are free and open to any individual 12 years of age and older.

 

• Only essential personnel are working at the clinic and they all wear PPE at all times.
• All onsite staff are screened by their managers over telephone each day prior to coming to work, then screened again at the door.
• All patients are screened by telephone first, including those who may have COVID-19.
• Patients allowed in the clinic wear facemasks, except for children under age 2 or those who have trouble breathing. We provide facemasks if the patient does not have one.
• Staff practice social distancing at all times, including during any lunch or other breaks.
• Only one caregiver accompanies the child to eliminate crowded lobbies and waiting areas.
• There is no longer a waiting area in the clinic. Caregivers and children wait in their cars (for a very short time), and carry a small disc, which lights-up when it is time for their appointment.
• A medical assistant greets the caregiver and child waiting in the car and escorts them directly to their exam room.

• Patients who think they may have COVID-19 are instructed to call and speak to our daily triage nurse rather than come in person.
• We provide drive-through COVID-19 testing by appointment, and soon, we will provide drive-through flu and strep testing. For prevention, we also provide drive-through flu shots and other pediatric and adult immunizations by appointment.
•  We assess the patient’s ability to safely self-isolate and monitor their symptoms, as well as assess the risk of the virus spreading to others at home.

 

Another way we minimize risk is through the optimization of telehealth and remote services:

•  Allow telehealth access to primary care providers and specialists, including mental and behavioral health care providers, for chronic health conditions and medication management.
• We monitor clinical signs of certain medical conditions remotely and mail free blood pressure cuffs and blood glucose tests, including for children and youth.
• We provide instructions to caregivers about home care and family safety.
•  Nurses monitor patients at home with regular check-ins using telephone calls or even texts.
• We follow-up with patients after they are discharged from the hospital.
